Alexandar Georgiev was in the starters' crease Wednesday morning.

Georgiev allowed four goals on 33 shots (.879 SV%) in a loss to Philadelphia in his previous start. The 26-year-old has an 11-4-1 record with a .920 SV% and 2.68 GAA for the battered Colorado Avalanche. He draws the tough matchup of Boston, who is first in the NHL in goals per game (3.96) and fourth in shots (34.9).

Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen will start Wednesday in Columbus.

Luukkonen stopped 26 of 29 shots (.897 SV%) in a much-needed bounce-back victory over San Jose in his previous start. The 23-year-old has struggled in his limited action this season as shown by his .856 SV%, 4,17 GAA and 2-2-1 record. He will face the Columbus Blue Jackets, who have lost five of their last six games and are on the second half of a back-to-back after a loss to Pittsburgh Tuesday.

Peyton Krebs will draw back into the Sabres lineup Thursday.

Krebs has been a healthy scratch since Nov. 23rd but will draw back into the Sabres lineup Thursday as they take on Colorado. The 21-year-old has no goals, three assists and is a -4 plus/minus through 17 games this season.

Georgiev allowed five goals on 23 shots (.783 SV%) in the worst start of his Avalanche career his last time out vs. Winnipeg. The 26-year-old has been incredible this season as shown by his 10-3-1 record, 2.48 GAA and .926 SV%. He takes on the Buffalo Sabres' who are surprisingly fifth in the NHL in goals for (3.7) per game and 12th in SOG (32.6).

Georgiev allowed five goals on 23 shots (.783 SV%) in the worst start of his Avalanche career his last time out vs. Winnipeg. The 26-year-old has been incredible this season as shown by his 10-3-1 record, 2.48 GAA and .926 SV%. He takes on the Buffalo Sabres' who are surprisingly fifth in the NHL in goals for (3.7) per game and 12th in SOG (32.6).

Georgiev stopped 41 of 42 shots (.976 SV%) to pick up his sixth win in seven starts as he beat Dallas at home in his last time game. The 26-year-old has enjoyed a breakout season in his first year with the Avalanche as shown by his being second in the NHL in SV% (.933), fifth in GAA (2.29) and has a 10-3-1 record. He takes on the Winnipeg Jets, who have won three of their last four contests.

The 26-year-old has enjoyed a breakout season in his first year with the Avalanche as shown by his being second in the NHL in SV% (.933), fifth in GAA (2.29) and has a 10-3-1 record. He takes on the Winnipeg Jets, who have won three of their last four contests.

Luukkonen will start Monday vs. the Lightning.

Luukkonen stopped 34 of 36 shots (.944 SV%) for his first win of the season in his previous start vs. St. Louis. The second-year pro is 1-1-0 with a 3.50 GAA and a .881 SV% in only two starts this year. He will take on the Tampa Bay Lightning who have won five of their last six games after a 5-2 victory over the Blues their last time out.
