Anaheim Ducks News

Dostal will start vs. Edmonton on Wednesday.

Dostal was impressive and had a heavy workload while representing Team Czechia at the Olympics. Still, he will be ready to return to the crease for Anaheim on Wednesday against the Edmonton Oilers. The 25-year-old Dostal was on a tremendous run heading into the Olympic break, posting a dazzling 1.96 GAA and .930 SV% in his last nine games (8-1-0), and will hope to carry that momentum to help his team battle for a playoff spot. The Ducks enter Wednesday's contest as slight -101 home underdogs against an Oilers team that defeated them 7-4 in their previous meeting.

Carlson (lower-body) missed practice on Tuesday and is considered day-to-day.

Carlson suffered a lower-body injury in Washington's final game before the Olympic break on February 6th and remained absent from practice on Tuesday. If he is unable to suit up on Wednesday against the Philadelphia Flyers, his next chance to play will be on Friday against the Vegas Golden Knights. The 36-year-old Carlson has seen significantly less powerplay deployment this season, taking a backseat to Jakob Chychrun, but has remained productive, with an impressive 46 points (10G / 36A) through 55 games.

Mrazek underwent hip surgery Tuesday and will be out for the remainder of the season.

Mrazek has not appeared since January 5th and will not miss the remainder of the 2025-26 season after undergoing hip surgery on Tuesday. The 34-year-old veteran net-minder had a very forgettable first season in Anaheim backing up Lukas Dostal, posting a 3-5-0 record, 4.07 GAA and .858 SV%.

Petr Mrazek
Clara (lower-body) is questionable to play Friday vs. Slovakia.

Clara was absolutely spectacular in his Olympics debut, making 46 saves before being forced to leave Italy's loss to Sweden. If Clara isn't available to start Friday's game vs. Slovakia, expect Davide Fadani, who replaced him on Wednesday, to get the start.

Dostal will start Thursday vs. Canada.

Dostal has had a bit of an up-and-down season with the Anaheim Ducks, going 21-13-2 with a 2.92 GAA and .897 SV% in 38 games. Internationally, he hasn't represented Czechia since 2024, when he led them to a Bronze medal, going 6-2-0 with a 1.58 GAA, .939 SV% and three shutouts. Dostal and the Czechs are +390 underdogs against the powerhouse Canadians in their opening game.

Clara will start Wednesday vs. Sweden.

Clara is an Anaheim Ducks' prospect, who was taken in the second round in 2023. The Italian netminder played briefly in the AHL last year, but has spent the 2025-26 season with Brynäs IF (SHL), where he is 16-13-0 with a 2.49 GAA and .888 SV% in 30 games. He's expected to face an enormous workload throughout the Olympics, and starts as +3500 underdogs vs. Sweden.

Dostal will start against the Kraken on Tuesday.

The Ducks will unsurprisingly stick with Dostal between the pipes when they host the Kraken on Tuesday. The 25-year-old Czech netminder collected his 20th victory of the season in his last outing, stopping 28 of the 31 shots he faced in a 4-3 win over the Golden Knights on Sunday. It was the seventh win in eight starts for Dotsal, who has posted a .930 SV% over that stretch. He and the Ducks enter action on Tuesday at -135 on the money line.

Dostal will start vs. Vegas on Sunday.

Dostal was excellent in his previous outing, saving 24 of 25 shots (.960 SV%), but received zero goal support and suffered a rare defeat in a 2-0 loss to the Vancouver Canucks. The 25-year-old Czech goalie has won six of his last seven games (6-1-0), posting a tremendous 1.87 GAA and .934 SV%. The Ducks enter Sunday’s contest as -115 home favourites against a struggling Vegas Golden Knights team that has lost six of their last seven games (1-4-2).
