Mrazek could get his third career NHL start tomorrow.

The Red Wings do not want to use Jimmy Howard in both games of a back-to-back, so either Mrazek or Jonas Gustavsson will get the nod. Mrazek was recalled today to serve as Howard's back-up because Gustavsson has a sore neck. If 'The Monster' isn't ready to go tomorrow, then Mrazek will start vs. the Oilers. He is 1-1-0 with a 2.02 GAA and .922 SV% in two starts with the Red Wings.

Killorn has been moved to the top-line with Steven Stamkos and Martin St. Louis.

Killorn, 24, had a strong start to the season but has really cooled off as of late. Moving him onto a line with the red-hot Stamkos could get jumpstart Killorn. Whoever plays the LW on this line becomes a solid fantasy commodity. Ryan Malone had seven points in 12 games in that position.

The Rangers recalled Chris Kreider from Hartford (AHL).

Kreider has two goals and two assists in six games with Hartford. The Rangers don't play again until Thursday, but he was skating on the top-line this morning with Brad Richards and Derek Stepan. He was the 19th overall pick in 2009 but has yet to take the next step in his NHL career. This could be the chance he needs with all the injuries that have hit New York.

The 19th pick in the 2009 NHL Draft Chris Kreider, is in danger of being cut from the Rangers opening day roster.

Kreider has been average during the preseason and might have played himself off of New York's roster. “A lot of players are close but really haven’t shown me they can play at this level on a consistent basis,” head coach Alain Vigneault said. “There are still guys [with a chance] who are going to play [against the Kings] but they have to play better.”

#NYR Both Chris Kreider and J.T. Miller sent back to CT Whale. Neither player saw the ice in the third period Monday night.

Kreider had a strong run in the playoffs last season posting five goals and two assists in 18 games. With his play in the playoffs the Rangers were expecting more out of him this year. He has just two goals and one assist in 17 games.
