Wilson (concussion) is expected to return to the Capitals lineup on Friday.

The NHL has suspended Tom Wilson for 20 games.

Wilson has been suspended for 20 games for an illegal check to the head on Blues’ forward Oskar Sundqvist. The league appears to have had enough of Wilson’s antics, suspending him for just under a quarter of the season. With Wilson out, Brett Connolly is going to start on the Capitals first line. Wilson is not eligible to play until November 21st against the Blackhawks.

Wilson will move into the Capitals' top-6 on Friday.

Andre Burakovsky has had a slow start to the season, so Wilson will move up to a line with Nicklas Backstrom and T.J. Oshie for tonight’s game in Detroit. This obviously helps Wilson’s fantasy status, but he has yet to record a point one four shots in three games this season. The 23-year-old has a career-high of just seven goals and 23 points.

Wilson has served his suspension and will make his season debut on Friday.

Wilson missed the first four games of the season because of a suspension he earned in the preseason. He will draw into the lineup on the third line with Lars Eller and Brett Conolly and comes into this season after posting 19 points (7G / 12A), 95 shots and 239 hits last year.

Wilson (head) returned to practice on Monday.

Wilson missed the final two games of the regular season after being hit in the head by a shot on April 5th vs. the Red Wings. Wilson was reportedly not dealing with concussion-like symptoms and he is skating in a regular jersey this morning, so he could be good-to-go for Game 1 on Wednesday.
