The Devils have signed Nathan Bastian to a two-year contract extension.
Bastian is week-to-week with a lower-body injury.
Bastian suffered a lower-body injury vs. the Penguins on Thursday and is going to miss "some time" according to head coach Lindy Ruff. Pavel Zacha is expected to return from a minor injury to replace Bastian in the lineup on Saturday afternoon.
Bastian (undisclosed) will not play on Tuesday.
Bastian will miss his second straight game with an undisclosed injury that he suffered against the Flyers on Tuesday. Bastian remains day-to-day.
The Devils have recalled Nathan Bastian from Binghamton (AHL).
Bastian was a second-round pick in 2016 and could make his NHL debut on Saturday afternoon. The 21-year-old winger has registered 10 goals and five assists in 43 games with Binghamton this season.
