Anderson was not on the ice for Tuesday's morning skate and will be a game-time decision vs. the Kings due to a non-COVID-19 related illness. Expect Adam Brooks to replace him in the lineup if he can't play.

Anderson was hurt in the first period of Thursday's loss in Winnipeg and was not on the ice for Friday's practice. The team called Anderson "day-to-day" and they are "hopeful" that he'll be available on Saturday. If he's not, look for Tyler Toffoli to take his spot on the second line with Nick Suzuki and Jonathan Drouin.

Anderson was sent home after the first period of Saturday's loss to the Flames because he was suffering from "flu-like symptoms." Anderson tested negative for COVID-19, so he is eligible to play tonight vs. the Canucks. Anderson was removed from Saturday's game for precautionary reasons due to "flu-like symptoms."Anderson has reportedly tested negative for COVID-19 so that's not a concern and he could play Monday vs. the Canucks if he's feeling better.

After acquiring Anderson from the Blue Jackets, GM Marc Bergevin inked the rugged winger through the 2027 season. The deal leaves the Canadiens with ≈$5.37M in cap space heading into free agency. Anderson, Shea Weber, Jeff Petry and Carey Price are the only four skaters in Montreal currently signed through the 2024 season.

Anderson dealt with shoulder issues all throughout 2020, limiting him to just 26 games and four points (1G / 3A). In 2019, Anderson scored a career-high 27 goals with 20 assists (47 points) in 82 games. He was one of three players who had 20-plus goals and 200-plus hits in 2019--Alex Ovechkin and Blake Coleman were the other two, pretty good company. Anderson's rugged style of play is exactly what the Habs were in search of and he will pair nicely on the second line with Nick Suzuki.

Anderson has not played since December 14th and underwent shoulder surgery in March. Anderson skated on his own on Sunday but has yet to join the team sessions. Blue Jackets coach John Tortorella had "no information at all" on Anderson, so it's unclear whether the power-forward could be ready for the Maple Leafs or any potential series beyond that.

Anderson underwent successful surgery today to repair a posterior labral tear of his left shoulder and is expected to make a full recovery in four to six months. Anderson should be ready to go for training camp in 2021 and finishes 2020 with four points (1G / 3A) in 26 games.

Anderson was hurt Saturday in Ottawa, presumably in a fight with Mark Borowiecki. Kevin Stenlund was recalled on emergency basis on Sunday and is expected to replace Anderson both at even-strength and on the power-play.

Anderson has missed the past six games due to an upper-body injury that he suffered on October 5th. Anderson’s return will be a huge boost to the Blue Jackets’ offence, which currently sits 29th in the NHL in goals-per-game (2.25). Anderson scored 27 goals with 20 assists (47 points) in 82 games a season ago.

Anderson has missed the last four games with an upper-body injury but returning to practice is a big step towards returning to the Blue Jackets’ lineup. Head coach John Tortorella did not have much of an update on Anderson but said that “he’s progressing.”

Columbus announced that Anderson is day-to-day with an upper-body injury that he suffered on October 5th, but was moved to IR so they could recall Markus Hannikainen from Cleveland (AHL). Anderson had already been ruled out of Friday’s game and is eligible to come off IR whenever he is healthy.

Anderson is set to miss his second straight game with an upper-body injury. The Blue Jackets have not released any type of timeline for his return, but the fact they are updating his status on a game-to-game basis suggests that he is simply day-to-day.

Anderson played 16:54 and 16:01 TOI in his first two games of the season but will come out of the lineup vs. Buffalo. Anderson battled a lingering shoulder injury throughout training camp but there’s no evidence that it’s the same injury. Sonny Milano will replace Anderson in the Blue Jackets lineup.

Anderson will play for the first time since February 26th tonight vs. the Penguins. This is a massive boost for the Blue Jackets heading into the playoffs, as Anderson was on a 24-goal, 15-assist pace before he got hurt.

Anderson was knocked out of Monday’s game vs. the Capitals on a hit from Dmitry Orlov. As of now there is no timeframe for Anderson’s return, but expect an update prior to Thursday’s game in Los Angeles.
