With both Logan Thompson and Adin Hill unavailable due to injury, it will be Jiri Patera who gets the call for the Golden Knights on Thursday. Patera made his second appearance of the season in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Hurricanes, stopping all ten shots he faced after Thompson left early in the third period with an upper-body injury. Patera picked up the win in his lone start of the season, allowing four goals on 39 shots enroute to a 5-4 shootout victory over the Sharks on December 10th. The second-year netminder owns a .924 SV% across four career appearances.

With Adin Hill leaving Sunday's game vs. Anaheim due to an undisclosed injury, Jiri Patera has been recalled from the Henderson Silver Knights (AHL). The 24-year-old started one game already for Vegas this season, picking up a victory with a 3.69 GAA and a .897 SV%. He is likely to backup Logan Thompson while Hill recovers from his recent ailment.

Patera was excellent in his short two-game showing with the Vegas Golden Knights, going 2-0-0 with a .929 SV% and 2.50 GAA but has been reassigned to Henderson (AHL) Monday. The 24-year-old returns to the Silver Knights, where he was 12-13-1, with a .916 SV% and a 2.66 GAA.
