The Penguins have acquired Jason Zucker from the Wild for Alex Galchenyuk, Calen Addison and a 2020 first-round pick.

Zucker has scored 14 goals with 15 assists (29 points) in 45 games with the Wild this season. Zucker, who is a one-time 30-goal scorer, will get a huge fantasy boost because he will likely slot in the top-6 with Sidney Crosby or Evgeni Malkin. After this year, Zucker has three years left with a $5.5M cap-hit (per PuckPedia).

Zucker underwent surgery on a broken right fibula and will miss six weeks.

Zucker broke his fibula last Sunday in Chicago but finished the game, logging 16:33 TOI but the broken bone was found post-game. Zucker underwent surgery and is expected to be out until early-February and Zach Parise is expected to continue to skate with the top-line moving forward.

Zucker (lower-body) will not play on Tuesday.

Zucker briefly left Sunday's game in Chicago but returned and finished with one assist in 16:33 TOI. The injury comes at a tough time for the Wild, who were already without Mikko Koivu and Joel Eriksson Ek up front and Jared Spurgeon on the blueline. Luke Johnson is expected to make his Wild debut with Zucker out.

The Wild re-signed Jason Zucker to a two-year deal worth $4 million ($2.0M AAV).

After scoring 21 goals in just 51 games in 2014-15, the Wild were hoping for big things out of Zucker last season, but he never seemed to gain any traction. The 24-year-old winger struggled with just 13 goals and 10 assists (23 points) in 71 games, but the Wild we able to secure him for two more years at a very reasonable cap-hit.

Zucker will be back in the Wild lineup on Tuesday.

Zucker has been a healthy scratch for the last two games, but he will re-enter the lineup on Tuesday in place of the sick David Jones. Zucker has just one goal in his last nine games and has 13 goals and 10 assists (23 points) in 65 games this season. He will skate on the second line with Mikael Granlund and Thomas Vanek.
