Benn (lower-body) will be a game-time decision on Saturday.

Benn has been out since the Stars' season opener but will be one of three game-time decisions for Saturday's game in Carolina. The Stars are hopeful that at least two of Benn, Roope Hintz and/or Blake Comeau can play tonight, so there's a chance that Benn plays.

Benn (lower-body) is questionable to play Sunday vs. the Predators.

Benn was forced to leave Friday's season-opening win over the Predators with a lower-body injury and missed Saturday's practice. Jason Dickinson is expected to replace Benn on the Stars' top line if he can't go in Sunday's rematch.

Jamie Benn
Benn is doubtful to play Tuesday due to an upper-body injury.

Both Benn and Mats Zuccarello were hurt in the Stars game in Chicago on Sunday and Benn is unlikely to play on Tuesday. Monitor his status during the Stars morning skate, but it looks like Dallas will be without 2/3 of their top-line in an important game in Vegas.

Benn (upper-body) will not play on Friday.

Benn was forced to leave Wednesday’s game vs. New Jersey with an upper-body injury that he suffered after being hit by Miles Wood. Benn was on the ice this morning and wanted to play but the coaching/training staff want him to recover more thoroughly. Valeri Nichushkin will move to the Stars’ top-line with Benn out.

Benn left Thursday’s game with an upper-body injury and did not return.

Benn decided to drop the mitts with 6-foot-7, 265 lbs. defenseman Nikita Tryamkin and was hurt in the tilt. Probably not the best idea to take on a monster and it forced Benn to miss the third period. With the Stars on a back-to-back, Benn is questionable for Friday’s game.

Benn (foot) will return to the Stars lineup on Thursday.

Benn has missed the last four games with a foot injury, but will return to the lineup tonight vs. the Red Wings. Benn has scored 10 goals with 24 assists (34 points) in 38 games this season and will be looking for a stronger second half, starting tonight vs. Detroit.

Jamie Benn
Benn (foot) will not play on Tuesday.

Benn will miss his fourth consecutive game with a foot injury, but head coach Lindy Ruff said Benn is at about 80 percent and he’ll know when he’s ready and when he’s ready he will play. Monitor his status prior to Thursday’s game vs. the Red Wings.

Jamie Benn
Benn (upper-body) says he will make his pre-season debut on Tuesday.

Benn has been recovering from surgery to repair a core muscle injury that he had on July 14th. Benn’s original recovery time was six weeks, but he is just two days shy of 12 weeks since the surgery. Benn has been skating in training camp and Tuesday will be his preseason debut, so if all goes well he should be ready for the Stars’ season opener.

Jamie Benn
The Stars signed Jamie Benn to an eight-year deal worth $76 million ($9.5M AAV) on July 15th.

Benn, 27, had his first 40-goal season (41) and a career-high 89 points in 2015-16. Over the last three years, Benn has only missed one game while recording 255 points (110G / 145A) which is second in the NHL, behind only Sidney Crosby. Benn’s new deal doesn’t kick in until next season, which means his deal runs through the 2024-25 season.
