JVR bruised his foot blocking a shot on Tuesday, but looks like he'll be ready for Saturday. JVR has tremendous upside and will have the best opportunity of his young career. As long as he stays healthy a career is certainly possible.

There was speculation that JVR will center the top Lupul-Kessel line but the season won't start that way.
The coach said he wouldn't hesitate to make a lineup change and it appears as though James van Riemsdyk, recovering from a broken left foot, may be ready.
