Frank Vatrano News

Vatrano has had a down year in Florida, scoring just 10 goals with nine assists (19 points) in 49 games. Vatrano has scored at a 23 goals per 82 game pace in his first three seasons with the team but is on a 17-goal pace this season. Vatrano should see more important ice time in New York than her did in Florida this year.

Vatrano will sit on Saturday with Joe Thornton getting into the lineup to play against his former team.

Vatrano had one shot and two PIMS in 11:18 TOI on Sunday but will be a healthy scratch for the third time in four games on Tuesday.

Vatrano has no goals and two assists in his last seven games and will be a healthy scratch on Thursday. Vatrano will be replaced but Maxim Mamin.

Vatrano split his 2018 season between the Bruins and Panthers. The 23-year-old had eight points (5G / 3A) in 16 games with Florida, finishing the year with 10 points (7G / 3A) in 41 games. Vatrano seemed to have found a nice home in Florida and should be a bottom-6 winger with them to start 2019.

Vatrano is dinged up so he will come out of the lineup this afternoon. This is a tough break for Vatrano, who will miss an opportunity to face his former team in Boston. The injury is believed to be minor so look for him to be back in on Monday.

Vatrano has been sidelined since February 6th with a lower-body injury, but it looks like he’ll play tonight vs. the Rangers. Vatrano appeared to have a bright future in Boston but was passed on the depth chart by players like Jake DeBrusk and Danton Heinen. He will make his Panthers debut with 20 goals and 11 assists (31 points) in 108 career NHL games.

Vatrano recorded one shot in 4:53 TOI before leaving last night’s game in Detroit. Vatrano is listed as doubtful with a lower-body injury, but there was a good chance he came out anyways with Brad Marchand returning from a five-game suspension.

Vatrano played just 9:25 TOI and 8:00 TOI in his last two games and is reportedly dealing with an upper-body injury. Vatrano is day-to-day and will be replaced by Matt Beleskey in the lineup vs. the Stars.

Vatrano, 22, appeared in 39 games with the Bruins last season, collecting eight goals with three assists (11 points). During his conditioning stint, Vatrano picked up two goals in two games with Providence. Vatrano will skate with Austin Czarnik and Riley Nash.
