The Philadelphia Flyers are in tough in their second-round series against the Carolina Hurricanes, down by a 2-0 margin with Game 3 set for Thursday night at Xfinity Mobile Arena.

The Hurricanes are off to a 6-0 start to their Stanley Cup Playoff run, and they’ve now beaten the Flyers in convincing fashion in Game 1 and by grinding out a win without their A-game in Game 2.

Can the Flyers find a way to send the series back to Raleigh with a victory either Thursday or Saturday, or will the Hurricanes head to the Eastern Conference Final without suffering a single defeat in the first two rounds?

On Thursday’s episode of Daily Faceoff LIVE, host Tyler Yaremchuk and co-host and former NHL defenseman Colby Cohen discussed whether or not the Flyers have what it takes to keep this series alive and stop Carolina from going 8-0 through the first two rounds.

Tyler Yaremchuk: But tonight it’s Philadelphia and Carolina and listen, Flyers fans are going to sit here and say all this Yaremchuk guy does is shit on the Flyers because I’ve been doubting them pretty heavily this whole time and just their ability to win one game in this series. But the series shifts back to Philadelphia, Colby. I’m setting the number at a 40% chance that the Flyers win a game in this series. Do you think the actual odds are higher or lower? What’s in your mind?

Colby Cohen: I think higher. I think the Flyers will will get a game in this series. I think that they just dealt were dealt another blow when they lost Noah Cates for the series. Noah Cates, not a guy who figures in a ton on the score sheet, but wins a lot of important draws, kills a lot of penalties, like he’s a guy that that you appreciate when you really look at the details of the game. No Tippett again for game three, like that’s a struggle because of the speed that he brings. So I think they’re going to get one, but I don’t think it’s going to be more than one,Tyler… I think winning eight straight games in a row is really, really difficult, and I think at some point like they’ll have to have a lump, but we’ll see. If anybody’s not going to, it’s going to be Carolina.
