Fantasy Hockey 2025-26: Weekly Strength of Schedule and Streaming Targets — Week 22

Finding an edge in fantasy hockey often comes down to maximizing your man games — and targeting players with favourable matchups. Our Fantasy Hockey Strength of Schedule tool helps you do precisely that.

Each week, we evaluate every NHL team’s upcoming slate using three key factors:

  • Games Played: More games mean more opportunities for fantasy points.
  • Strength of Schedule (SOS): Based on opponent difficulty, the higher the score, the easier the matchups.
  • Light Nights: Nights with eight or fewer NHL games, when it’s easier to fit extra players into your active lineup.

By combining these three components, the tool highlights which teams — and streamers — are best positioned for fantasy success this week.

If you’re looking for a full breakdown of every team’s upcoming schedule, check out our Fantasy Hockey Strength of Schedule Tool — updated daily to show which teams have the most games and valuable light-night matchups each week.

Week 22 Strength of Schedule

Week 22 Streaming Targets

New York Rangers

The Rangers are the clear top streaming target this week. All four of their games fall on light nights, giving you a major scheduling advantage. With limited action on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, loading up on Rangers is one of the easiest ways to maximize games played and gain an edge.

Alexis Lafrenière (LW/RW – 51% Rostered)

Lafrenière is in the midst of the best stretch of his six-year career. He’s recorded a point in nine of his last 15 games, totaling 10 goals and eight assists (18 points).

What’s even more encouraging is the stability in his production. His usage has jumped significantly, averaging 19:24 of ice time over his last 12 games, and he’s generating consistent volume with 2.6 shots on goal on 4.9 shot attempts per game.

He’s firmly locked into a top-line role and the top power-play unit, and there’s no reason to expect that to change this week. If you planned ahead, he should already be on your roster — if not, he’s one of the top adds to prioritize right now.

Will Cuylle (LW/RW – 40% Rostered)

Cuylle is likely long gone in banger leagues thanks to his 3.5 hits per game, but he should still be available in many standard formats.

Unlike Lafrenière, Cuylle has cooled off recently, going pointless in his last eight games. That said, he showed what he’s capable of just prior to that stretch, scoring six goals in the 12 games before it. For a one-week streamer with four games on light nights, that’s more than enough upside.

His role remains steady, averaging 16:11 TOI while skating on the second line with Vincent Trocheck and seeing time on the second power-play unit.

Gabe Perreault (RW – 15% Rostered)

Perreault’s stock has dipped slightly since losing his spot on the top power-play unit to J.T. Miller five games ago, but the production hasn’t disappeared. He’s recorded three assists while averaging 18:05 TOI over that stretch.

Zooming out, he’s been excellent in March, putting up four goals and eight assists (12 points) in 11 games.

He doesn’t offer much in terms of peripheral stats — averaging just 1.8 shots on goal, 3.3 shot attempts, and 0.3 hits per game — but he’s been finding the scoresheet consistently. That makes him a more appealing streaming option than Cuylle in standard formats.

Vladislav Gavrikov (D – 21% Rostered)

Gavrikov’s breakout this season has come a bit out of nowhere. Prior to 2025–26, he had never scored more than six goals in a season, averaging just 5.5 goals per 82 games over his first six years.

This year, he’s been riding an elevated 13.3% shooting percentage (career 6.5%), which has helped him climb to 14 goals — tied for eighth among defensemen. While that level of efficiency isn’t likely to hold long term, the recent production is hard to ignore.

He enters the week with six goals and eight assists (14 points) in his last 17 games, while averaging 4.1 shot attempts per game. He’s consistently getting pucks toward the net, and with four games on light nights, he stands out as one of the top streaming options on the blue line this week.

Deep Targets to Consider

Tye Kartye (LW – 6%) is a strong option in banger leagues, averaging 3.0 hits per game while adding eight points (3G, 5A) in 12 games since joining the Rangers.

Taylor Raddysh (RW – 1%) was recently bumped up to the second line and logged 17:51 TOI in the Rangers’ last game. If that usage holds, he could emerge as the most appealing option among the deeper desperation plays.

Conor Sheary (LW – 0%) has picked up three points (2G, 1A) over his last seven games, but offers virtually no peripheral floor, making him more of a desperation stream.

Buffalo Sabres

Buffalo is the only other team worth targeting for streaming this week. They’re one of three teams with two light-night games, but importantly, those fall on Wednesday and Friday — giving you the flexibility to pivot into Sunday’s key six-game slate.

In many cases, you’re likely to get more value from two Sabres games than from lower-end Rangers options like Raddysh or Sheary playing four.

Josh Doan (LW/RW – 33% Rostered)

Doan continues to impress, posting seven goals and four assists (11 points) over his last 17 games.

The most appealing part of his profile is the combination of shot volume (2.3 SOG, 4.2 shot attempts per game) and power-play production, with five power-play points over that stretch. His volume and usage make him one of the more stable streaming options this week.

Jason Zucker (LW – 14% Rostered)

Zucker has been a reliable streamer all season, though his ice time has dipped slightly, averaging under 14 minutes over his last four games.

That’s a bit concerning, but the production is still there — he enters the week with eight points (5G, 3A) in 11 games in March. His ability to generate offense in limited minutes keeps him firmly in play as a streamer.

Jack Quinn (RW – 9% Rostered)

Since returning from the Olympic break, Quinn has recorded five goals and three assists (eight points) in 14 games.

His shot volume stands out most, averaging 4.9 shot attempts per game during that stretch. Zooming out further, he has 10 goals and 13 assists (23 points) in his last 29 games — a 28-goal, 65-point pace that makes him a very viable streaming option.

Zach Benson (LW – 6% Rostered)

Benson doesn’t offer the same floor as Doan or Quinn due to lower shot volume, but he’s been productive recently with six points (2G, 4A) in his last five games.

He’s bounced on and off the top line, so deployment will be key. If he’s skating alongside Tage Thompson at Tuesday’s morning skate, he’s worth a look — if not, he’s probably best left on the wire.
